Anything that runs on electricity such cooler, fan, AC, or TV, can give you an electric shock. Today, we are surrounded by electrical appliances. Although the current may be light, its effect is can seriously damage your body. Sometimes a shock can interrupt the rhythm of the heartbeats and this can be fatal.
If the shock is intense, then this can be a serious problem. Here we suggest a what you should do in case of an Electric Shock:
Precautions For Electric Shock
1. Make sure that the electric appliance you are using is either powered off or disconnected from the direct power supply. If the device required to be connected, then make sure the plug is properly in. Most cases of electrocution happen because of loose or broken connections.
2. Wear rubber gloves and footwear while using electrical devices. This prevents the shock from flowing through your body.
3. If someone is getting shocked, do not try to touch him with your bare hands, otherwise, you will also get in the grip of electricity. Use any hard plastic or wooden item to release him from electric shock.
4. If a person had got the shock is now unconscious, then lie him down on the ground. Keep his one hand under his head and the other one straight back. Fold the one leg from the knee and keep the other one straight on the ground. This position will help him restore his conscious soon.
5. If the person has stopped breathing, or the rate of breathing is slow then contact A Doctor immediately. Try doing Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation to restore proper breathing moment.
